Got to play golf this past weekend (course only had 10 holes open, but still counts), since the weather was cooperative in MA. It has been a streak of 22 months in a row that I've been able to play golf in Massachusetts! I love it. Played pretty decent too for winter golf. I know for those down south, it may not seem like much, but it's something I hope can continue (hopes aren't too high though).
Anyone in the NE area have a similar streak? I'm gonna be jealous when I hear everyone down south has played every month for the past however friggen long. I hope this past w/e wasn't the last round before going to AZ in April, and hopefully HI is May. |

I know a gentleman here in Iowa that has played every month for 3-4 straight years here in Iowa. That is pretty incredible considering how cold and how much snow we get every year.
Its impressive but not an accomplishment I want for myself. I usually bow out of golf once the weather hits sub 45 degrees (and 50 is probably the norm). |

Joe... New England boy born and raised. Lucky to have a streak of 20 years right now. Sorry, low blow. I'm a permanent S FL guy now and just had my 20 year anniversary here and never miss a round of golf.
Grew up in SE Mass, played hockey, skiied Killington and Sunday River, and still live and breath Red Sox and Bruins. Have a great golf streak going right now but a miserable skiing streak happening. The slopes down here just don't compare to what you got up there. :( |

The only week that I have missed in the past 4 years was when I cut my hand and had to set stitches a few months ago. I have played from 112 degrees all the way down to 25.

That's impressive. I have been going 9 months, but pending REALLY unseasonably warm temperatures, that'll end for me this month. February 2012, December 2011, and February 2010 are the only times I've never been able to play in a calendar month (all due to weather) and January 2013 will soon join that list barring the improbable.

Keep that streak going. I'm in Calif. and have never played 12 months in a row ...and we all appreciate it. Duckhunter has trouble keeping track of more than one set of sportsman gear at a time. You don't want him on a golf course during duck hunting season! |
