So i went to the TGW website this morning and there was an adidas ad for a reveal tomorrow, 1.3.13. I looked it up on youtube, and guess what? they claim they will change everything! AGAIN! What the frig. I am tired of the outlandish claims. Anyone else think it's going to be a new pair of shoe laces, or maybe a divot repair tool? Geez, Taylormade/Adidas marketing departments were never taught to cry wolf, or yell fire in a crowded theatre, every time a product is released. Also, saw pics of the new Taylormade R1 driver... Looks pretty similar to recent releases. Can't wait to hear the claims for that one, add 530 yards on your drives!

I was tired of their crap a long time ago. And I don't play any of their stuff either. It's decent equipment and all but way too many gimmicky marketing tricks to care about.

Interesting stat: Golf Digest published the "driver wins" on tour for 2012. For all their marketing hype and the "#1 Driver on the PGA Tour" slogan they had 7 wins total and only 3 of those were the R11s (Sneadaker won twice with an old, black-headed Superfast, Rosie won with an R11 original, Donald with an RBZ). Titleist literally ran away with it with 14 wins.

I don't bother with that stuff anymore. Anytime I hear a company say there will be a major announcement the next day, I roll my eyes and try to list the ridiculous things they might announce that I could care less about.

A couple years ago when Apple had that thing on their website for one day saying something like, "Tomorrow will be one of those days that changes your life forever." and it turned out to only be they were now selling Beatles music on iTunes. They might have made some good music, but that's not something that will flash before my eyes when I'm dying. God forbid I have to listen to them someplace other than iTunes too.

I remember when I got my 1st pair of PF Flyers sneakers. I could run faster, jump higher.
Can't wait to try out this new equipment. I'll hit it longer and straighter and I'll knock 5 strokes off my game. Gotta love all this new technology.
