They came back 0 - 2 best of 5
then down 3-1 best of 7
then take 4 in a row.

2 rings in Buster's first 3 years (year 2 he was out most of), not to shabby if you ask me! Great run Giants (again)!

Considering when I heard Brian Wilson was out for the year in the early part of the season, I remember saying they're finished, see em in 2013. When they were down 2-0 to the Reds I said they're finished. I never said they were finished when it was 3-1 against the Cardinals, but I was mentally preparing myself for a Cardinals-Tigers World Series. Long story short, they beat the odds all year and never gave up. Great run!

I wanted the Tigers to win, which was hard to do as an Avalanche fan since we can't stand Detroit, but there are a couple of good things that come from this Giants victory. First, the Rockies are no longer the most recent team to get swept in the World Series, and second, as a National Leaguer myself and other NL'ers don't have to hear AL people boast about how superior their league is to the NL. That's 3 consecutive World Series titles for the NL, as well as 4 out of 5, plus 3 straight All-Star game victories. Thank you for that, Giants.

No he can't, not even close, but I bet the Giants don't want to lose him either ;).

Let me know who you think is out when the NFL playoffs start. I'm going to make some money off that team. lol

Let's see:
- Your All Star closer is out for the year the first month of the season and the guy that replaces him struggles
- Your ace (a two time Cy Young Award Winner) goes 10-15 with an ERA over 5
- Your best hitter and leading candidate for League MVP and the Batting Title is out for the year right after the All Star break
- Your starting 2nd baseman and #2 hitter is lost for the year, your 3rd baseman and #3 hitter is out half the year

Does this sound like a formula for becoming World Champions? But they did and I think this is a testiment to the power of "team". Truly playing for each other and being willing to do anything to help the team succeed.

They remind me of the 1979 World Series Champion Pittsburgh Pirates--the "We are Family" team led by Willie Stargell.

You mean the drug head? I think alot of people would argue the best hitter and League MVP status for Buster off of that team.......and he does / did it without drugs.

Now yes, but that wasn't the case at the All-Star Break.
