Who were the Homers on here about 3 weeks ago that were arguing with me that Tiger is still the best player in the world? I think I'm hearing Crickets....Rory is the best player in the world right now, no if"s,and's or but's. Tiger isn't now and never will be the player he was, he was a closer, an intimidator...not anymore. i think with the quality of players right now Tiger would have never dominated the way he did in the 90's. Here's to all who argued with me in the past about Tiger....HA.

Is anyone else repulsed by the imagery of someone bathed head to toe in steelers garb? Nothing personal, of course. And I do agree with you about Rory.

1) Steelers are going down tonight. I'll be there, GO BRONCOS!!!
2) I don't see how Tiger can be falling when he's won 3 times, and finished T3 in a major. I mean obviously Rory is playing like a pimp right now, there's nowhere even close to his level. He's won the past 2 weeks without his A game, and when he does have his A game, like at Congressional or Kiawah, he wins by a ton. Tiger's resurrecting more than anything else right now. If he can fine-tune some stuff, he'll win more tournaments including a major or 2. The problem is that there's a 23 year old named Rory who's officially more talented than him, and that's something that has changed.

I think you are half right. Rory is on the rise, but so is Tiger. I have no qualms with the idea that Rory has had the better year.

Yeah I dont know, Tiger was so damn good in the 90's...... He was the best off the tee, had the best short game, and was the best with the flat stick. I am a big Rory fan but he isnt Tiger from the 90's..... At least not yet

Rory's flat stick is lights out right now. Tiger's putting is his big problem right now. Tiger's 3 putting last week, and several this week. Steeler boy, how can you possibly state Tiger would not have dominated? Get real. Assinine statement.

You know the torch has been passed when one of the announcers (dont know his name) says Rory is better than Tiger Woods. Not sure if he said this year, this month or what but when TGC starts to ordain a new king it sounds like out with the old and in with the new, And they love his demeanor, "hit it and chase after it" they want all young kids to play like Rory. I agreed with this poster three weeks ago and it is really starting to resonate throughout the golf world. The Ryders Cup will be a challenge this year with the Euros peaking. It will not be an easy Ryders cup for USA but at least it is on our home turf.

Funny thing is Tiger is playing some excellent golf but Rory is freaking unreal! Maybe Rory's world will come crashing down next year who knows, You know what? He would take it all in stride.

Oh, Tiger had his chances but his flat stick failed him. It has been failing him for four years so will he ever get it back? If he does the tables will turn and he will once again be number one. Maybe he should try a belly putter!

Riverfront, go back and tell us how many wins Tiger had to Rory's at this time and age. The announcers love to stir crap up to keep you tuned in. Is it working? I think I watch a grand total of 18 holes anymore because of the likes of D-head Johnny Miller, Faldo and such. Azinger needs to take over! Glad football is on now. Watching paint dry is pretty boring.

Jerry, you're not sick of watching paint dry, you're sick of the "Irish nerd" kicking Eldrick's ass week in and week out. And everyone else's too. LOL!

BTW, they'll be paired together again at the Tour Championship.

With respect to Miller, he was my favorite analyst for many years. The last couple of years though, he's become insufferable. I hope NBC is thinking about their next lead analyst.

A beautiful example of how we over-react. Rory is the best player right now...in the now. Tiger can't seem to stop screwing up on weekends, BUT...if I am Tiger I am very happy with where I am. He is starting to own his swing and is driving the ball better than ever. Tiger may never be TIGER again, but I am starting to think he is getting close to major championship form.

Actually Mike, I could careless either way. The Irish Douch Bag is making putts and Tiger is not. From the very little I have watched in the last two weeks, that is the way I see it. 10' putt? Rory is dropping them, Tiger is not. Rory is far from kicking Tigers a## right now. Lets be real. Golf goes in crazy phases of good and bad. Rory was missing cuts (4 in 6 weeks) and Tiger was kicking his a##. So? Anyway...I am not a FedEx cup fan as I am not a NASCAR Championship fan. Run the points the whole season and crown a champion. Not some gimicky little sprint for commercial revenues. I was an avid NASCAR fan weekly until they changed the format. I am serious, I don't watch NASCAR anymore. The PGA is ringing the same bell for me right now. I don't watch it much. I getting to the point of, I will go play golf, but bored to death to watch it. Glad football has started. Chargers! Bears! Cardinals!

Good god, man. You pick three franchises to root for, and they have one Super Bowl win between them. Why do you do this to yourself?

Not sure why he does, but I respect those who root for teams who can never seem to get luck on their side. i.e Cleveland or Buffalo fans.

Chargers fan as I lived in SD. Bears fan since I was a kid even though I lived in SD. Dick Butkus was my player. Cardinals because I now live in AZ. Win or lose, it does nothing to my life Bill. Entertainment just like Hollywood. My Ol Man was good friends with, Gary Big Hands Johnson, Charley DeJurnett, Mike Williams, Hank Bauer, Dan Fouts, Louie Kelcher, and Fred Dean when I was growing up. Just excited when I was a kid to see these guys in Dads office. Didn't care if they won or lost. Excitement? Yes. They don't affect my daily life if they win or lose. And NO I would never wear a jersey!

The 1980s Chargers were the best team never to win a Super Bowl. What a roster.

James, Rory's on the rise. When all of the broken glass is swept up the facts will talk and bullshit walks. In ten years lets see who has more wins. You may be right.
