Gonna be a waste of money once a tsunami or hurricane moves through.

Like it, a floating golf course. It could be moved if a storm comes. Oh, watch out for the water holes. The article is right, golf course designers are border line crazy.

Although this appears to be a cutting edge concept I don't see it being a practical practice facility. Transportation to and from the course would probably be somewhat costly. A course like this would definitely be a "destination course."

Reading the comments, I'm not sure everyone read the article. This is a serious and imminent project. This project is "The creation of the Maldivian government" and is set to begin construction later this year and open in 2015. The average elevation of the Maldivian Islands is 5 feet above sea level. From an engineer's perspective, floating islands should be superior to the existing naturally formed islands as far as ability to withstand storms and waves.

So you wanted a weather-proof floating golf course? How about this one? nice but short, very short and I would be careful walking backwards behind your ball to line it up---splash!! |

Perhaps it's because I didn't get enough sleep last night, but I see a headless skeleton with a huge johnson. Look at it from left-to-right: arms, torso, pelvis, legs, etc.
