Can anyone explain this photo to me???????
4 iron I hit 215 down hill to 15 feet........missed the eagle putt

You would think that clubs bend the opposite direction coming into impact, but I have seen this bend before in slow motion golf swings. That seems excessive...but cool photo.

It's just a trick of the camera. The golf club swings faster than what most camera shutter speeds can handle.

The reason it is "bent" is because the clubhead moves faster than any other point of the club (outer edge of a spinning record principle). Basically, the farther out you go on the shaft, the faster it is moving.

This means that the camera has a harder time capturing the clubhead and shaft clearly, because they are moving so fast...the result is a bit of a time-lapse image. Notice that your hands, which move much slower than the club, are captured clearly.
