The GolfGenius blog reminded me of something. We take a golf trip each year and we always talk about golf games, but usually stick with skins, nassaus, and maybe some best ball matches set-up on your own. I played at a course that had the "combo". There were 12-20 guys and each day they played, two guys best-balled every other possible pair of golfers. So if you were the combo. Your twosome played all the other combinations which could be anywhere from 12-20+ matches. They had software that they plugged into a computer and it calculated all the scores and payouts. Another course I worked at had had men's and women's leagues throughout the week. We also had software that used handicaps and would randomly pair players and then calculate the payouts. Does anybody else know of any golf game management software?

Thanks James - Have you used any of these? Ben, we used the one from Golfsoftware.com. I believe it is called league manager. It was a few years ago and it looks like they have improved on it since then but it was a great tool. Cost around 100.00, but it is a one time fee. |
