Alright, who has the best recipes or ideas for the BBQ this weekend.

Lets hear it!

Here is a simple BBQ we absolutely enjoy cooking and friends have enjoyed as well.

1 Pack of Boneless/Skinless Chicken Thighs
1 Pack of Chicken Taco Seasoning (Any! Lawrys, McCormick etc.)
4 Lemons (slice and juice)

Combine all 3 in a Large Zip Lock bag and message until seasoning is completely spread on chicken & let marinate for a couple hours.

Taco Shells
Sour Cream
Avocado - Sliced
Lettuce - Sliced
Red Onion - Chopped
Tomatoes - Chopped
Cilantro - Chopped

BBQ - Chicken and then chop up in pieces, make your Tacos and enjoy. Very flavorful meal and simple.

I have had friends go crazy over this simple meal thinking I bought the chicken at some Butcher shop pre-marinated. The above will feed 3 comfortable.

Drink lots of beer and let someone else do all the cooking while I sit around and soak up the sights and smells. lol

If you like shrimp and have a grill, you'll love this. Every Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day we have about 30 people over for a cookout, and this is the most often requested recipe of anything we make (and we cook lots of stuff!).

This makes 2 lbs of shrimp.

Mix together:

1 Tsp Seasoned Salt
1 Tbsp Minced Garlic
1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
1 Tsp Parsley Flakes - or fresh chopped parsley (to taste)
1 Tsp Basil - or fresh chopped basil (to taste)
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1/4 Tsp White Pepper
1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
1/4 Tsp Chili Con Carne Powder
1/4 Cup Sweet White Cooking Wine (Aji Mirin rice wine best)
1/4 Cup Olive Oil

APPETIZER
Marinate shrimp 1 hour or more in mixture. Then skewer and grill. Baste them as you're cooking. Note: if you are lucky enough to be able to get lemon flavored olive oil, use this instead and eliminate the lemon juice.

Here's one I got from a gourmet chef that is fabulous for steak of all kinds.

1. Get a good marbled steak.
2. Brush on olive oil.
3. Liberally shake on black pepper.
4. Shake on some salt.
5. Cook over a medium to high open grill.
6. Add butter a couple minutes before removing from the grill and allow to caramelize.

It's fabulous!

Anything wrapped in bacon like chicken, peppers, and flank steak! Then on to grill they go, do not put over flames or you will have to call the fire department to put your grill out.

If you can't find lemon olive oil just take the zest of a lemon and steep it in olive oil and let cool.

I have this one marinating at the moment. I had lemon olive oil from oliveunaturally.com out of Prescott, AZ. Amazing store with many Olive oil flavors. I do shots of this stuff with their Balsamic Vinegars mixed. Awesome!

You 're gonna be hooked, Jerry. Good find with the on line oil store. My wife is going to love it.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the shrimp. My wife has four pounds marinating in the refrigerator for tomorrow.

Mike, have it marinating right now for tomorrow. The Oil Store we drive up to as well. I can live in that store. The Olive Oils are unbelievable as well as the Balsamic Vinegars. So many flavors to choose from. They let you sample them in the store. Trust me if you order from them you wont go wrong. My favorite on Salad is the Tangerine Balsamic. Oh man!

No. I have---> Blood Orange, Chipotle,Sweet Lemon, & Garlic Olive Oils. They are awesome. I literally do my own tasting in a teaspoon and will combine Chipotle Oil w/Tangerine Balsamic and drink it from a spoon like medicine. Or Chipotle Oil w/ Black Cherry Balsamic. Smokin good! My fav is mixing The Chipolte Oil w/ Tangerine Balsamic and putting on a good salad. The store mixes/combines these flavors and you go crazy trying to figure out which one you want. I don't have a favorite oil. I dig on them all. My favorite Balsamic is the Tangerine. Awesome!

For those of you curious as to what we are talking about....It is a Olive Oil & Balsamic Vinegar store that I go to up in Prescott, AZ that does sell online. Great stuff if it is your thing. http://oliveunaturally.com/
