See these guys hit their 1st shot in the water on 17, why would you not tee it up again and hit the same shot?? why move to a new yardage and that beeing 75 yards. Not a full club for any of them, still have all that water in play. Some guys hit a another tee ball and others move to drop. What would you do? and Why?

I Think I would hit the tee shot again. unless the wind was big. Got to just hit the same shot. Most of the time when you het a 2 nd ball on the course for any reason it's most of the time a much better shot.

i would do the same why would I want to mess with a new distance, correct your previous shot, and move on. then again don't mention this to sean Ohair or Angel Cabrera

Me too. I mean, how many times would I ever have a chance to play there again. And that hole is the hole I wouild be waiting for all day. So yes, I would re- tee it.

I'd take the drop for the 75 yarder. Right now with the lack of playing I am getting. The 75 yarder and in along with my Driver off the tee is about the only thing I feel confident with.

Give me the Freddie Couples. Re-tee it in a hurry and knock it in the hole.

AND if you hit from the tee, you get to re-tee it. Plus you know what the shot is playing like now.

True. Can you imagine adding insult to injury by taking a drop in the drop area and having the ball land in a divot.

When I played there it was 137 yds. The pin was middle right. I hit it about 5 yds past the pin in the middle of the green and it kept going right into the water. I hit another and it barely stayed on toward the walking path.

I would tee it up every time.

I'd definitely want the 75-yard shot. I'm not Roy McAvoy.

"Somebody tell that guy he can take a drop, for crying out loud."

Tee it up! Ego and self respect along with confidence.

The company they use actually pays them to do it, if you can believe it. They go in and gather all the balls and then clean them and resell them as "recycled" or "reloaded" balls. I think the going rate is 17 cents a ball.

First off I would point out that at the tour level these guys short game is phenomenal. They SHOULD be taking the drop from 75 yards out. Especially, since that green can be so hard to hold.

Our short game? Not so much. So I absolutely understand the comments from those who would re-tee and learn from the first shot.

Me? If it was a social round with my buddies, I'd re-tee. How often am I going to get a chance to play this hole? If it was in a tournament, I'd take the drop. I've got a very good short game AND the drop zone has you angled more along the long side of the green front to back as opposed to the shallow green shape from the tour tees.
