The Tee Shot posts were real fun to read so I thought I would post this for stories.
The only one I have is, once and a dog walked across the green as we were playing and bumped my ball and it rolled into the hole (from about 4 feet). Needles to say I had to put it back and putt it in myself. |

That's classic. I witnessed a guy hit his ball about 290 on a par 5 into the left rough when a golden lab from one of the houses on the course ran out, picked the ball up and then proceeded to run to the middle of the fairway and drop it right by the 150 marker. He advanced the ball about 100yards from where it came to rest in the rough. After dropping it, he ran back to his yard and layed down with his tail wagging and what looked like a big grin on his face. I'm thinking that the owner played a bunch of golf and had a tendancy to pull it left. One of the funniest things I've ever seen. I just kept waiting for the dog to put it on a tee too...LOL.

A few weeks ago, I played on a course with plenty of young foxes. We hit our balls on the green on a par 4 and all of a sudden a fox arrives, sits near my ball and grabs it. We yelled at him and he looked at us, released my ball and grabbed the ball of one of my playing partners instead and ran away with it!! LOL. Good fox :)
On the next par 3, there were three young foxes playing together and running around. When we left, two of them laid down on the green, one of them puting his nose inside the cup and the other one chose to lay down in a sand trap. And of course they stole the balls from the group behind us. I wish I had my camera to capture all this :) |

We had foxes on the golf course at a Hooters event last year. And their bra size was...? LOL. |

Not really exciting but totally unexpected, last month we were playing on Oak Island (NC) and a deer just appeared from nowhere and bolted across the fairway right in front of us. I know, I know, doesn't even compare with the previous stories, especially the foxes. You mean the foxes with silicon implants? Yep, if the deer was just a regular old boring deer, not even sporting a tight skort with high heels while serving beer, don't even bother mentionning him/her... ;) |
