Hitting the ball on the toe

I just bought new clubs and they have been working well but I tend to hit the ball out toward the toe a little. I was at the driving range at lunch and for a simple fix I looked outside the ball just a bit and started hitting it on the center of the face. Is the fix that easy or are there other factors involved here? Thanks.

Cause might be either you stand a bit far away from the golf ball without realizing the fact; or, your coming into the golf ball from slightly outside of the target line ( outside to inside , swing across the line of the ball to target ).
Have a friend look at your swing path while you're hitting, if all else failed, have a professional look at your swing.

One outside chance is that your new set of iron is lighter than the old set; in this case, more practice will correct the problem.

Thanks for the replys everybody. My new clubs do have smaller heads so I will try a small set up change and move my stance forward. I do hit a straight ball or fade most of the time but don't have a big over the top move more down the line, but it sounds like that might be part of the problem, I just feel I can control the fade easier than trying to hit a draw. I tried for so long to just hit the draw shot but I am not as accurate with that shot shape. I am hitting it just a fraction out on the toe but still hitting good shots, I just know I am losing a few yards by not striking it completely flush on the sweet spot. Thanks again, I will try the tips next time on the range.

One more thing to think about: What kind of irons are they? The closer you get to a muscle back, the further the sweet spot moves towards the heel. With a true blade, a perfect strike is damn near a shank. My Titleist's sweet spot is not in the center of the face and they are cavity backs (very shallow though). So if you went to a smaller, compact Titleist, Mizuno, Taylor ect. a centre strike could feel a bit like you toe'd it.

My new irons are Maruman pro m, it's a small cavity iron, not forged but super soft it felt as good as any forged I tried.

Hold up the club with your fingers 1/3 way up from the club head, suspended in the air and tap the club face with the eraser end of a pencil, you'll find the sweet spot on the club face.
Only the classic blade had the sweet spots toward the heel a bit, most of the modern blade all have the sweet spots pretty much centered.

When in doubt, check all your fundamentals you grip, alignment. posture.. most likely you had altered one or more of these and there is your problem.

I will try that, thanks.
