I have been wanting a GPS unit for quite some time and now how the extra money to invest in one. I have been doing a lot of research and have narrowed down my selection to just 2 options. I am looking at either the Bushnell XGC or the OnPar Touchscreen. Has anyone used either or both and what are your thoughts. I have heard that the software for the Bushnell is a little slow, but other than that haven't found much negative about either. Thanks for your help.

I haven't used these brands, but I have the SkyCaddie SG2.5 that I won last year for closest to the pin. It's done wonders for me as far as approach shots go. I'm not good enough to actually play for certain sides or areas of greens in order to set up putts, so its technology suits me fine. I doubt software will have much effect on you while you are on the course honestly. You already have a really good idea of how you want to approach your shots, so the GPS is just acting as a tool to solidify or sway your decision when you're a little unsure. Good luck with it!

Thanks for the help with this. I think i am going to go with the Bushnell. I found out the the OnPar as good as it sounds is not tournament legal because it has a club suggestion option. I want to be able to use this in any tournaments that allow range finders like the golf channel AM tour. Thanks for your input.
