Hey There, I be new to this forum. I'm a almost old phart (59 1/2) and have been playing some 30+ yrs. Like most amateurs I have good days and to many bad days. I live in La Porte Texas, play alot of different courses and found a jewel this past Thursday. Played it many times but have never see it in this good of shape, quite wild because we are in such a drought this year. The course is Eagle Point in Mount Belvieu, it was green and manicured to the max. Played with a old friend and we both were in shocked, like I said our area in SE Texas is behind on rain totals to nearly 20" maybe more so our courses have taken a beaten. Anyways anyone in the area go play this Jewel, Greens are rolling good!

Walter, good to have you on the site. Note: Most of us define 59 1/2 as middle age (save one youngster on here). You find a number of folks on this site hail from Texas, including several from your area. So there is certainly potential to share 'local' experiences and maybe even a few rounds on the course.

Out of all the Houston courses, Eagle Pointe is my favorite.. along with Augusta Pines.. thanks for the comment.. welcome to the site..

Thanks for the responses, being a shiftworker I get to play a lot of different courses during the week when I'm off. GolfQ has some Great Deals for area here in Houston, This site has grown and improved our way of Thinking of how to play this game we are all so in to. My Love for the game runs deep, my Pops started me when I was around 13. Been doing every since, but I also Fish the Bay.

Agree!...Eagle Point,is a very nice golf course to play at.also enjoy playing at Newport Dunes,Bay Forest,& Wild Cat.
