A couple of years ago I came to an agreement with my wife that I wouldn't allow golf to ever become a priority over any other family activities. Since she doesn't care for golf, that's meant that any vacation time spent together has completely excluded golf. So, other than my weekly Saturday round with my regular group at our local muni, I've been unable to enjoy playing golf at my leisure or visited most of the other local courses. Next week that changes.

Since my job has mandated that I take a week off or lose the vacation pay, I've been forced to take the time off here at home. My wife has to work and my daughter is in camp. Sure, there are always a million things that need to get done around the house, but that's not going to relieve any stress, is it? So, that leaves golf and lots of it. I've checked out five different clubs, noted each one's weekday specials, organized my calendar accordingly and I'm ready to go. Can't wait, in fact. Starting next Monday I'll be out on the course every day, weather permitting. Hope I get my fill!
