I went to post a score today and I only get the form with score, no putts, penalties, up and downs, etc. What changed?

I'm not sure Brian, but while we are on the subject of score posting bugs. I only got in 14 holes the other day before a thunderstorm broke out and Stracka's system would not let me post score's for the other 5 holes. I could only post my first 9 score. According to the USGA website 13 holes is all that's required to be able to post a score. Why can we not post less than 9 or 18 holes???????

5-1. Acceptability of Scores
Fair handicapping depends upon full and accurate information regarding a player's potential scoring ability as reflected by a complete scoring record. Every player must be responsible for returning all acceptable scores, as defined in this section. For handicap purposes, all Section 4 adjustments, including Equitable Stroke Control, must be applied to all scores including tournament scores.
a. Scores To Post
If 13 or more holes are played, the player must post an 18-hole score. If 7 to 12 holes are played, the player must post a nine-hole score. (See Decision 5-1a/3.)

Noticed that a couple of times too, then went back later and it was fine.

And following that...

------
b. Posting a Score When a Complete Round is not Played

If 13 or more holes are played, the player must post an 18-hole score. If 7 to 12 holes are played, the player must post a nine-hole score. In either case, scores for unplayed holes must be recorded as par plus any handicap strokes that the player is entitled to receive on the unplayed holes. (See Section 4-2 and 5-1a .)
ot played
Example: A player with a Course Handicap of 30 stops playing after 16 holes because of darkness. Hole 17 is a par 3 and is the number 18 handicap-stroke hole. The player will record 3 (par) plus 1 handicap stroke for an X-4 on hole 17. Hole 18 is a par 4 and is the number 12 handicap-stroke hole. The player will record 4 (par) plus 2 handicap strokes for an X-6 on hole 18.

----
Also, I have no idea how (See Decision 5-1a/3.) relates to posting a score for an incomplete round, it refers to play on temporary greens.

Looks like you need to enter scores for holes that were not played.

Wouldn't that be like cheating though? I mean, I could put anything in there to jack my handicap up.

It is messed up how they do the scoring when you dont finish but have more than 13 holes played. Im a pretty smart fella and I still dont completely understand it.

You have to make sure you pick the posting option "Hole - by - hole w/stats" at the begining......

Not at all, read carefully, they are telling you how many strokes to enter. If anything you are possibly going to post a lower score. Don't know if Stracka lets you post your hole score with the X in front, I've never tried it.

You can't put the 'X-' in front of the score. Yous simply enter the score as the USGA rules state. You enter all 18 if it is an 18 hole posting. The rules are clear here. If anything, it would be cheating to not enter the scores.

I usually make a note in the comments about which hole has the 'X-'.

The USGA allows for the posting of incomplete rounds but you still must post 18 scores. You have to follow the guidelines as to how to score the holes you did not play. But basically you take your course handicap (course handicap not regular handicap) and apply it to the holes not played. If you have a 10 course handicap and you only played 14 holes then you take par on the last 5 and if any of these holes are ranked as 1-10 in the course handicap rating on the score card then you add 1 stroke to that par. If your course handicap is above 18 then you would add 2 strokes to par for the number 1 rated hole on the card if it is one of the holes you did not finish and so on until you reach your allotted course handicap.

Should say last "4" not 5, sorry.

"and you only played 14 holes then you take par on the last 5"

That happened to me and I discovered that I had inadvertantly selected the scores only option without detail. Once I went back and changed my selection, it worked fine. I had never actually had to coose the option. It had always been the default.

NOPE just checked again and I am doing it right. It is still not functioning, I even logged out and shut down my browser too.

It's doing the same thing for me. I don't have a score to post at the moment, but when I go through the motions it comes up without the stats on two different courses. The check boxes are probably in for their 3,000 click lubrication and adjustment, don't want them getting all sticky you know.
