Yesterdays leader Michelle Wie shot an even-par 72 to fall into a tie with Jiyai Shin after a rainy Saturday at the Canadian Women’s Open. Shin shot a 69 to erase the three-stroke lead Wie took into the third round at the St. Charles Country Club. Both were at 10-under for the tournament.
Hoping Wie can keep it together tomorrow long enough to pull off a win. She's long off the tee (the Longest) but can be erratic. |

I'm begging too. Let's see Michelle prove that she really is this phenom she's supposed to be and take down one of the best players in this era in women's golf. But most importantly, this could be when the US proves to Asia that they are the best in women's golf. Miyazato beat Kerr last week and that was tough to swallow. Michelle NEEDS to win tommorow.

I don't like her so I don't care if she does. I would never wish a player to play poorly but I don't believe she has it in her. She may prove me wrong....

Not only did she 'hang on', she put a little distance between herself and the field then refused to give it back.
She's also showing some signs of maturing as both a person and a player. Most notable is the way the other LPGA players view her. She's much more liked and supported by other players than she ever was prior to last year. |
