After reading Ethans Blog the other day, there is so many sad stories like that one that cross our paths daily it seems. Too many times we complain about the simple things in life or we take them for granted. when at the end of the day our complaints are nothing really compaired to others. Occasionally we need a reminder on how our 3-putts or bad score or just how our bad day at the office really wasn't so bad now was it. Please take 12 minutes of your time to watch the following video, you'll be glad you did.

Very humbling video. I think what you said in yourpost Gary, and what Kenny Perry said in the video around 8 minutes through said it all. How can you complain about 3 putting or playing bad when he's going through that.

Really puts things into perspective. Often times that is just what we need...perspective.

A couple months ago I had a guy take the station next to me at the range. Since I'm a left hander I'm aware that being face to face can sometimes make the righty's feel uncomfortable.

This guy had one badly deformed arm, so I knew he had more reason than most to feel self-conscious. After hitting a few balls together I spoke up and complemented him on the technique he worked out. I told him I have a good friend who plays and is missing a hand. "I was watching your swing thinking I might pick up a tip or two for my friend", I said. "But you've figured out an interesting way to use your other hand to direct your swing path, which of course he can't do."

Well that's all it took to break the ice and we had a good time on the range together. Chatted a bit about what a great game golf is and some of the experiences we've had.
