Incredible watching Rory today. Unbelievable grit to hang in there and basically play 1 armed!! I can't remember watching anybody in this type of situation and the reason he was put in that spot, I'm dropping the ball instead of swing with the size of that root~

Really looked like he was going to WD but he gutted it out. That was a horrible spot - should have just chipped to the side back in play - easy swing, no risk.

that really was a foolish move, could have been career ending.

that really was a foolish move, could have been career ending. I agree with you, Jim. But I bet when you were 22 you did a lot of things on those fast bikes you'd never even dream about doing today. I know I did. |

He did seem to relax once the medical guy reassured him. Have to see how much it heals or stiffens up tonight. That was an awfully aggressive swing in that situation. It's not like he couldn't see the root! Kids! What are you going to do? |

Feherty, Kostis, and Verne were almost screaming for him not to hit it. I was too since he's in my Pick 4. Unbelievable to see him finish at even. Only thing I can compare it to is Tiger's knee at the US Open.

Rory sucks. What would've impressed me is if he's driven his ball in the fairway where there are no tree roots.
Win major No. 2 already. Goodness. For the second coming he seems more bluster and wind than substance. |

I'm watching the PGA.com video recap of the second round holes he's played. I gotta say, I don't care for his putting stroke. Looks vary "tappy", never follows thru and the putts seem to wander off line. Does he always putt like that, has anyone noticed?

Haven't noticed, but putting is the reason he's looking for major #2 and not major #3. People forget if he had putted average last year's final round at Whistling Straits he would have won the thing outright. |

Beating a guy who sucks doesn't mean you don't suck. So I repeat: Rory sucks. Win another major. |

This is now in stone on my wall. Every cut Tiger makes before The Masters 2012, you'll get to hear "very likely" from me. And, yes ... I understand the reverse might be in effect. That's more than fine with me. Until Rory gets to No. 12, I'm not sweating it. |
