Just taking a survey on who is your one vote for the most hated golfer of all time. This should be interesting.

****UPDATE*** Change "hated" to most disliked, sorry if saying hated offended anyone.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the list so far. Keep em coming, Thanks.

I don't think I hate any golfers. But back in the day I didn't enjoy watching Tom Kite win. Not sure why. But when he was in contention I would find myself cheering againest him. Ok Tiger haters--its your turn~

Bob Tway!!!!!!

Really, that surprises me that someone would bring up his name. He has one of the best swings in golf. Was it his perm you didn't like~

To be honest. I had a bit of a runnin with him while he was at the Buick Classic at the Westchester Country Club. This particular incident he was extremely arrogant and awfully condescending!! BTW.... it WASN'T over an autograph either!!

Fuzzy Zeoller is another I dislike A LOT!!!! He thinks he's better than the rest of us just because he can hit a little white ball. Fuzzy the "ALMIGHTY".

Hated might be too strong for golf...

There have been plenty of targets, and I suppose alot depends on who you like. The first villian in golf, may have been Willie Park Senior who as a young kid challenged Allan Robertson the undefeated golfer of St. Andrews to a match publically in the papers. Alan refused and sent his apprentice Tom Morris who Park throttled.

You could say Tommy Bolt for his attitude. Fuzzy Zoeller for his attitude. VJ Singh a decade ago had some haters as did Faldo.

I think to qualify you would actually need to be one of the better golfers of your generation, otherwise people would not be swayed in high numbers.

For that matter...Jack Nicklaus in the early 60s was undoubtably the most rooted against golfer maybe in the history of the game...strictly by the numbers.

Enough with the Fuzzy comments. Being from nearby Louisville, and having the misfortune of frequenting the local childrens hospital, I can tell you that he donates money to worthy endeavors. Don't go overboard with the word "hate." Have perspective.

Rory Sabbatini. He's always just rubbed me the wrong way. His mouth is just to big for his game.

Hate is a strong word, I dislike Tiger the most. I get sick of seeing him win, I get sick seeing CBS show every shot he hits even when he's T55, I get sick of hearing about him instead of other players, and I get sick of seeing his fans treating him like he's immortal and will do everything.

How could this list not include Colin Montgomery? He is the symbol of anti-Euro golf in my opinion, and I hear he hates old people, kids, and is mean to dogs when nobody is watching.

This is a tie between Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter. Two self absorbed European douchebags that care more about collecting cars or pretending to be Gianni Versace than actually working hard and winning tournaments.

Hate is too strong, but dislike would be Tiger and not for what anyone thinks. I dislike the things I have heard of him and seen in person:
1. He never tips well the people who work the locker room for the PGA events.
2. He was given complimentary rooms and extras at Pala Casino in San Diego and he and his buddies ran the drink girls silly, but never tipped them.
3. Refusing autographs to young kids; they are the future of the game.
4. yelling at a fan at the Farmers for asking for an autograph for his son.
I know he attracts the crowds, has helped create high tournament purses; however, at the same token he is often on the wrong side and at times has hurt the game. He is no Jack Nicklaus or Arnold Palmer. They not only were great golfers, but were great sportsmen and gentlemen! (just my view, I know many like him)

As many have said I'm not sure I would use the word hate but I dislike Sam Snead...had a negative personal experience with him many years ago. I also have little use for Rory Sabbatini.
