sounds like Bubba got homesick quick as the French open Guest was distractied by there failure to have any respect for the age old game of golf.
we all know they cant stand americans but sounds like Bubba will not be back. i for one have no intentions to ever visit or spend my money in that country. i will tour Europe and the world and will have no problem with avoiding the dump/

Can't say I'm surprised that the smelly, idiotic, annoying French are pissing off Americans for the umpteenth time.

He was playing in the French Open because he must have gotten a huge appearance fee. He would have had to win to make more than his appearance fee most likely.

I really don't think I would go to France to play in a golf tournament unless it was with a HUGE appearance fee.

I have worked for 2 French companies and they are a different breed. You get what you get with the French.

I cant stand the French either but Bubba showed bad form. I don't know why he went either but I would hope I would have held my chin up and walked away from this experience instead of complaining.

SAINT-QUENTIN-EN-YVELINES, France â€" Bubba Watson came to the French Open to experience a new culture but the move backfired as he blamed the local spectators’ behavior and poor security on the Albatross course Friday for his disappointing performance.

Watson missed the cut after shooting 3-over 74 in the second round for a 6-over 148 total.

.“It’s not a normal tournament,” Watson said. “There’s cameras, there’s phones, there’s everything. There’s no security. I don’t know which holes to walk through. There’s no ropes.”

Watson has won two titles this year but rarely plays in Europe. He was apparently affected by the permissive culture in France as spectators snapped photos and recorded videos while he was playing.

“I’m not used to that,” Watson said. “I’m not saying it’s bad. It’s just something I’m not used to, I’m not comfortable with. It’s very strange to me. Just very uncomfortable.”

Watson complained that the rules were not respected by the fans.
Ironically, Watson came to Europe to experience a new culture.

“The reason to come over here was just to experience it,” Watson said this week before the start of the tournament. “I’ve played on the U.S. tour the whole time and just wanted to come over here, just to experience a different culture, a different life, a different golf, a different atmosphere.”

But by Thursday Watson felt homesick after carding a 3-over 74 in the first round saying, “I miss my home.”

Despite his unhappy experience in Europe, Watson was adamant about participating in the British Open this month.

“I’ll play the British Open because it’s a major, that’s the only reason,” Watson said. “I’m going to go sightseeing real quick and then probably sightsee tomorrow (and) get home as fast as possible.”

Bubba got a $180,000 appearance fee.

He acted like a complete assh*le his first few years on tour, and was disliked by everyone. His comments in France, from what I've read about them, were pathetic and uncalled for.

I have no love for the French, but in this case, Watson deserved whatever criticism he got.

Is it any wonder why European golfers are cleaning the clocks of American golfers with pathetic, spoiled whiners like Watson representing the USA?

Maybe he should have brought Steve Williams to caddy for him. He could have rounded up all the cameras on each tee and threw them in the water.

He deserves the name "Bubba". He certainly behaves like one.
