i am very happy to see him gone but is everyone tired of the Bin Laden coverage yet? there is so much going on here with the floods and tornadoes and the people that need a lot of help right now and it just seems that when there is a tsunami in Japan or an earthquake in Haiti, which are incredibly tragic, those sorts of things get more attention then the devastation that we have suffered here. throw in Bin Laden and the Royal Wedding and i almost completely forgot about what is happening in our own country right now. i know it's a huge story but conspiracy theorists, people wanting photos, how he had Coke and Pepsi delivered to his house, people saying this was to distract from the Birth Certificate, and a hundred other ridiculous claims has really seemed to take this a little far. what started out as something to unite us and celebrate a significant victory against terrorism has turned into a side choosing, second guessing debate over what it all means. i'm not surprised at all but some things deserve more attention and the circus needs to pack it up and leave town. the topic is still too fresh and i understand people want to know everything and probably will never have all the answers or at least not the ones they're happy with but when is it enough? i think i realized how out of hand it has become when i saw CNN had a poll about if people thought Bin Laden was already in Hell? i may be alone here but this is just ridiculous. i actually thought it was a joke on the show i was watching. what does everyone else think? do you need more or is it getting old?

I'm not tired of the "story", I'm tired of the media fishing for every little stupid ass thing they can find on it. They stormed in there in a blaze of fire, capped his ass, snatched his body up and got the hell out of dodge before Afghanistan knew WTF was going on. That's awesome to me. I would like to hear more detailed information on exactley how they done it, what they found on the computers and so on from the people who carried it out, but I know that with the low profile life the SEALs and CIA have to live for the security of them, there families and the country you will not get that until years down the road after one of them is on there death bed and retired. I AM TIRED of the media though using this as a crutch because they don't have anything better to talk about. Now as far as the Royal Wedding crap I COULD CARE LESS and was tired of it 2 days after it started becoming a story, wich was actually 2 months prior to the actual wedding and it's going to go on for 2 month's after.

Let me add that it is upsetting that with all the death and distruction going on in our own country with the flooding, tornadoes and even Japan that they (media) runs around with blinders on. It does seem to me that all that has taken a backseat even to "The Royal Wedding" even a week after the ceremony. WHO GIVES A CRAP what kind of dress Pippa wore. What are we doing to help them people in Alabama, N. Georgia, Tennessee and everyone along the Mississippi River?

i agree Nutty. there are more important things that need to be dealt with. sorry, i got you worked up. i wouldn't mind hearing about Pakistan's excuse and what information they found to help find more terrorists but soda, marijuana plants, and all kinds of speculation is what is starting to bother me. honestly, knowing exactly what happened as far as the mission goes, how he was killed, if his wife jumped in front or was she used as a shield, did he have a weapon, and whatever else probably won't ever satisfy everyone's curiousity. i just don't think anyone will ever be able to say they knew exactly what happened. is anyone a 100% sure about JFK? this isn't different. report what is out there. we can't be sure of anything, so it's seems to be a huge waste of time.

I hear ya. I read a book about the JFK assassination once called "Trauma Room 1". Written by the doctors that tried to saved JFK's life. Says they were threatened and scared for there lives for many, many years about keeping quiet about what they saw. Some of the details about what they witnessed are completley against what the "official report" states. Such as the "magic bullet". The doc's state that they pulled 3 different bullets out of him, and when they did the CIA ran in there an confiscated them. Very interesting book. That's a good example of the possiblities of our government and this could very well be another.

It pains me to see how much focus has been put on this one topic in the news media. I guess I would mind it a little less if they would stop doinga "Breaking News Story" only to have to say OOPs that last story wasn't quite right a few hours later. How about wait until you have the facts and then report them... unnamed sources my a...

I agree the media should still be covering what is going on with the storm damage etc. I wonder how many people actually know about the flooding along the Mississippi River and that several states are still waiting for it to Crest.

If you doubt the floods are bad, here is an example from an updated story from 30 minutes ago...
"The river topped the previous record crest of 46 feet â€" set in 1937 â€" on Wednesday, and stood at 47.2 feet by Thursday afternoon. It is expected to reach 49.5 feet on Sunday, a half-foot below the top of the floodwall"

That's exactly why I don't watch the news. OBL and the royal wedding rate at about the same interest level for me: zero.

Killing Bin Laden 10 years later doesn't really change anything and seems quite insignificant compared to the state of the economy and any number of more pressing domestic issues.

As for th royal wedding i cant believe any one outside of the UK would care at all. Typical self absorbed Brits thinking the world revolves around them. What kind of egomaniacs spend $40,000,000 on a wedding when the rest of the proletariate are barely scrapping by.

When I first heard it , it was like finally those in the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and on the plane that crashing in Pennsylvannia finally can rest in peace, but man the News agencies just dragged the story a bit too long, Very typical of them!!!

hell, a lot of people there didn't care. i think we cared more than them. it's all just over-hyped force fed crap. like everything else. if it's on tv, it's priority. Snooki, American Idol, reality t.v. it's pathetic, like a bunch of dumbass cavemen gathered around a fire. "duh, look at fire." at least for them, that was the only thing on. what may have been going through the SEAL team members heads as this went on? types of dogs used and their role in the invasion. speculating on every little thing with no definite facts, it's like a story that has been relayed to a bunch of people and what you hear and what is true are probably completely different things. everyone needs answers and has to know exactly what happened. i got a feeling most people would cringe if they knew every exact detail when it comes to war and this mission. almost 3,000 deaths on 9/11, 6,000 U.S. deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, and a $3 trillion manhunt for Bin Laden, which has crippled our economy with oil prices and a quarter of our military spending fighting these wars. the Iraq and Afghanistan civilian death toll dwarfs our numbers and people treat this whole thing like an episode of CSI or a gossip show and milk this thing for all it's worth. it's disgusting that something that may have brought closure to the families of the victims and what should have united our government ends up being a freak show and a finger pointing contest and a question of how much credit certain people deserve. you can all share the credit for feeding exactly what Bin Laden set out to do. yeah, we got him, now what? do we stop sending money to Pakistan or pick a fight with them and let this thing continue? get the troops out of there and start rebuilding this country.

I suspect Obama is enjoying all the coverage. Makes him look good. Detracts from subjects like the economy, the debt, gas prices, his policies on oil drilling, etc. etc. etc.

Not really tired of the Bin Laden coverage. The media spins everything but if it's still a topic of interest, maybe more questions will be asked/answered? There is still so much going on surrounding 9-11 that's not being reported but is exactly why him being killed is so significant. People are still today, dying because of this man such as the many that were down there trying to help with search and rescue efforts, construction workers, police officers, fireman....the list is endless of how many people have died from and are currently fighting cancer just from exposure to the toxins in the air at the Twin Tower site. Those who made it out alive that September day, how many of them are fighting for their lives now?
Just something to consider.
I have a polaroid picture that I took 22 years ago of the Twin Towers when I vacationed in the city and was visiting family that lived there. I don't believe I will ever tire of hearing that the man who has caused so much pain and suffering for so many is finally dead. I hope our intelligence has collected enough information to help prevent or curtail another tragedy.
