I noticed that the USGA club pages have changed. While they seem to be more organized, some features don't seem quite right. The scores info is off as well as the scores with members info.

For instance, it only lists me as having posted 16 scores and 0 scores with members. However, a member that I played a round with has that round counted as a score with members.

We also drafted our own club by laws which show up in the club files but it seems that stracka has taken the liberty to post a by laws template on each club page.

That's what I've noticed at first glance.

The bylaws is a new page for all clubs. You can update the bylaws if you are the club chairman.

The stats you see in the member list is an aggregate of the last 365 days. This is a good indicator if a member of your club has had any activity within the last year.

Rounds played w/ members is a relatively new stat, and only computed when a player posts a round, and checks the box that they played w/ a club member.

You could always edit the bylaws we section to simply say, "Please look in the club files section." It's a work around, but that is what we had to do at my Fantasy Football site.

I am actually ok with the new ByLaws section. It is definitely visible on the club home page. If a Handicap Committe does not want to use the template section, you could potentially just put in a reference to the file.

I would agree that the calendar was a nice feature on the club home page, however it did not flow though to the members page. The only way that a member knew that there was an event on the calendar was to explicitly go there. If there was a notification sent to the club members each time a calendar event was added or published, then it would have served a better purpose.

The played with club member stat is good, but another indicator that needs to be added is attested scores.

Also is there some check that could be automatically done when someone attempts to join a club to validate they are within the ~50 mile radius and reject the attempt to join the club if outside of that range? I am ok with doing a quick scan, but it might be helpful to build in the check if it is not too complicated.

What's up with the little box at the bottom of the member list? "Enter slope to calculate course handicap" I entered a slope and clicked, nothing happened. Is this a future function, or just a random click box some one forgot to clean up?

Yes, that is what I did. I just erased the template and added a reference to look in the club files for the bylaws.

If you enter a course slope and hit calculate it figures what everyone's handicap would be based on that course. Watch the member list above, on mine it worked?

There is no way to modify the existing template ? Or insert the new by-law into the existing template ? Or to use the space designated for the by-law ?

Could we just erase the existing by-law ?

I inserted our club's bylaws by Copy & Paste ... very easy.

Just go to "edit club information" and you can edit the bylaws they put in or just erase it and paste yours in. I already had mine in the club files so I just erased theirs and put in "see club files for bylaws".

Not sure if you guys know; but if you go to "Edit Club Information" button on your page it's really easy to edit the BYLAWS there.
