You now belong to an elite group of weekend golfers.
Since you had done it, go out and get more and be comfortable of new scoring average. |

Thanks all..I am looking forward to it and also my fear (well not fear) I am OK if it takes several rounds again or it may be next time. All my playing partners who play with me, and have been, while I have been evolving. knew I was close. It was the whole game that came together finally, tee to green. |

Congratulations! way to go....I remember the first time I broke 80, what a feeling! This maybe a cliche~ but it is so true and I'm surprised no one in this forum has mentioned it yet....On your next round, "take it ONE shot at a time!" Try not to fall into trying to do to much on the front nine, focus on making par and avoid taking risks because yr subconscious mind will be saying, If I can do this or that, I'll be able to shoot a 78! EX: I caddied for a gentlemen this weekend who recently carded a 76! I saw him try to DO to much, force things when they weren't there..The subconscious mind had to be telling him I can shot a 75 today! Final score 91....on the very same course as the "76". That is true and I did fall into it on the front 9 on one hole I went for the green in two on a par 5 missed the shot and ended up with a bogie. Had I hit two smooth irons insteal of trying to muscle a 3 wood 235 yards I would have probably par'd the hole. That was a wake up call and I settled back down to my game. Thanks for the words though I am going to reread them before I play Sunday |
