Michelle's a talented golfer, and she's barely made her mark on the LPGA, yet she's competing in this week's Legends Reno-Tahoe event. What are your thoughts? I know the field is not that strong, do you she has a chance to make the cut, or even win?

There's not a chance in hell she'll win. If she plays well, and remembers to sign her card, she might make the cut (just), but she'll almost certainly be last of those that finish if she does.
To be honest, I just think she's had terrible advice. She's done absolutely nothing in the game, apart from be a sponsor's freak show. She should be finishing school and learning her game on the LPGA Tour. Until she's achieved something there all she is doing is providing an un-interesting will-she-make-the-cut sideshow to the real event. Apologies if that's a bit vitriolic but I just think she's become a complete joke. Ochoa, Sorenstam etc? they've earned the right to compete against the men if they want to, Wie hasn't, and I'll be pretty surprised if she ever does. |

She shouldn't even waste her time. I don't understand why she keeps insisting on playing on the men's tour when she doesn't even have her card on the lpga. I think she's a bit stubborn and has bust written all over her. She was a child when she first became a freak show, she's barely more than a child now. Those around her who advised her then, and now, should take most of the blame. Being injured was the best thing that's happened to her - it stopped her embarassing herself for a while. |

I also wonder what advice her parents are giving her. I think it's her dad caddying for Michelle during competition.

Yes, she had not won any professional tournament, yet.
and yes, she could be acting beyond her acheivement sometimes, of course everyone either hate her or jealous of her ability in golf or the fat checks she receives for endorsement from major sponsors. I mean, even Annika Sorenstam arguably the best LPGA player ever did not make that kind of endorsement money. It'll be a big surprise if she could make the cut for the weekend and I'm rooting for her to be the first female player to ever have made the cut for a PGA tournament. I wish for her to continue to grow professionally and personally, I'd like to see more great golf from this young lady. Make the cut and shut those envious mouth up. |

She earned it, let her play. I'd want too regardless if I,ve got my card. That's all most of us need...a shot! I assume that's supposed to be ironic. What has she done to earn it? She showed some promise as a child, got invited to play in men's tournaments, never made a cut, never won on the LPGA... If the most successful woman ever to play the game knows she can't compete on the men's tour what gives a child who has achieved nothing the idea that she can? Obviously it's about money - money for her sponsors, money for the event sponsors, money for her - but it's doing nothing for the development of her game, nothing for the integrity of the events she plays in, and little for the viewing public given that she never makes it past the second day. If she wants to play on the PGA Tour let her earn her card like everyone else. |

She is very talented but she needs to win on the LPGA tour first then try to mess with the big boys

I hope she remembers to sign her card. Everyone bags on her and how she's out of her league, but man, she's living the dream, breasts or not, she's playing PGA golf.

Still, she undoubtedly made another bucket load of money, and the sponsors managed to ensure their event wasn't totally ignored while the Senior US Open, Ladies British Open and WGC was going on. Mission accomplished for everyone.
I suppose it's kind of sad that she's being used in this way really. It's time for the freak show to end. |

Our girl prodigy missed the cut at Reno.

Not much of a 'prodigy' any more. More a misguided sponsors' puppet. Best to learn to walk before you run... |
