I'm not sure why long comments are now truncated and you have to click "more" to read everything... It's a hassle!!
1- It doesn't work properly in Firefox: the comment doesn't always display after you've clicked "more" 2- It now takes a long time to read a conversation. You have to click "more" on all the comments and it takes a few seconds each time to load the comment. 3- What problem are we trying to fix? Personally, I never found it hard to read a blog or forum page with all the comments, even when they're long. You quickly scan them and move to the next one... My two cents :) |

If you go to any page that has lots of comments... the pages will load really slow. For instance, the Stracka Friends group page. We are trying to reduce the amount of what is loaded up front. Facebook uses "more" for it's comment and hides several comments to reduce the load time.

Honestly, the fix is worse than the issue... :/ Maybe display less comments per page?

Ok I'm whining tonight, sorry about that :P I also realized that can't post comments on anyone's fairway anymore, even though I'm friends with them...

My two cents...I don't like the "more" button either. I hit it and nothing shows....I wasn't having any problems before...My vote - get rid of it.

Thank you for your input on this. We are seeing the load time greatly depends on the number of "sub" comments. So we are looking into a solution. Thanks

Thank you for your input! We initially set the long comment to 200 but we moved it up to 1000 characters. You will see less "more"s. ;^)
We made reply comments over 3 days old set to a "collapse" state which has greatly increased the speed of the load time. Let us know if your concerns. Brando |

I double checked the code here and everything is working. Are you sure you were on a profile that was a friend of yours? Please send me the exact friend you are referring to. Thanks Brando |
