By they way, in relation to my last post, the club fitter wants to "soft step" my new custom set. I did have to Google this since I didnt know what is was or if he was just pulling my leg to make a sale. With that said, have any of you soft stepped your clubs? If so, do you see a benefit? What difference did it make with your clubs, shots, and ball flight?

I hit a hard stepped set, but found th X100's were the right ball flight. If you hit the ball really low, today's muscle back irons that youre playing don't help much (today's lofts are much stronger than those of previous decades) so soft stepping will bring your ball flight up. Personally, I say hit it as low as you can. A high ball hitter has trouble in the wind, a low baller never has much in the way of trouble.
