Hey to the Admins of GolfNet and the powers that be. I really hope you improve the Android app since the current version is useless. Yes you can post scores, and read stuff but that is pretty much it. I would really likeh to be able to post in the forums, start a topic, and respond to picture posts and messages from the app rather than logging in to the browser from my phone. Can you see if this is going be incorporated in the app?

Thanks!

Marc, I have an Android phone and I found that I can use the phone's browser to view the full website and that works great, I can do everything that I can from my desktop, short of uploading photos/videos.

What would make the Android and IPhone apps stellar would be the ability to keep a score card on the phone and post it to Stracka when you finish the round.

Hey Luke, just like I said in the post, I know we can access the full website on the phone but sometimes I just dont want to access the browser on my phone. Just sometimes a hassle and the net connection can get slow with Sprint at times in Chicago. Just a peeve of mine. I would just like to have an app where I can just do what I want with the site and information and be done with it. I however do not want to keep score on my phone for many reasons, the first and most important is that I would hate to lose my phone on the course because I dropped, left, lost it because I was using it to keep score. I have other reasons why I would rather use my Garmin for all that but I'll save that for another time. :)

Yeah I have Sprint too, when I am on WiFi or 4G it is fast enough but 3G gets a little dicey.

I dont even turn on the 4G because it drains the battery about as fast as I drink alcohol! :)

How did you do that? All I can do is read forum posts from the app.

When the topic comes up there is an option to "post response". Tap it and here I am.

Other things that would be nice in the Android app...

Ability to add a hole-by-hole score with some stats (like fairways).
Ability to show a full screen handicap index card.
Remember username and password (although this may be my phone.)

In response to lpjo and Luke Tuzinski posts; I use GolfCardPro to keep score and stats. I also use it as a GPS range finder. When the round is done, I'm able to easily upload my score to this site with stats.

Now that is a great idea Stracka admin....will it happen? Yes or No

Just as DavidHoward said... GolfCardPro already does this and does it very well. I use it for the iPhone, but there is an Android version also.
