Halladay throws the second no-no in post season history. Yes, the 2nd ever. Looks as though the Phils are gonna make yet another run at the World Series. Who wants some?

Yankees will win it all.... Get back to us when you don't have to BUY a World Series ring. Go Phils! Really? ......great responce.....I didn't know everyone else didn't pay their players.... Of course every team pays their players but NOBODY "buys" championships like the NYY (thus all the championships). Their payroll is the highest in baseball (as it has been for decades) and eclipses the next highest MLB payroll by more than 27% and is 46% higher than the Phillies. Let's see the NYY bring their payroll back out of the stratosphere and see how many WS rings they get. You can agrue the fact that Philly has an above average payroll but nothing even comes close the NY's. Typical behavior of an owner who can't BUILD a team and wants everything NOW, paying whatever it takes to get himself whatever he wants when he wants. Snobby, stuck up and whiny. Try "earning" a championship for once through the building of your farm system. NY should try making beneficial trades rather than dumping their wallet on the next crybaby in the league that wants out of his contract with another team so he can win a pennant before his time has passed. I predict Jason Werth will be playing for NY next season. 2010 Team Payroll / Average Per Player N.Y. Yankees $206,333,389 / $8,253,336 Boston 162,747,333 / 5,611,977 Chicago Cubs 146,859,000 / 5,439,222 Philadelphia 141,927,381 / 5,068,835 New York Mets 132,701,445 / 5,103,902 Detroit 122,864,929 / 4,550,553 Chicago White Sox 108,273,197 / 4,164,354 Los Angeles Angels 105,013,667 / 3,621,161 Seattle 98,376,667 / 3,513,452 San Francisco 97,828,833 / 3,493,887 Minnesota 97,559,167 / 3,484,256 Los Angeles Dodgers 94,945,517 / 3,651,751 St. Louis 93,540,753 / 3,741,630 Houston 92,355,500 / 3,298,411 Atlanta 84,423,667 / 3,126,802 Colorado 84,227,000 / 2,904,379 Baltimore 81,612,500 / 3,138,942 Milwaukee 81,108,279 / 2,796,837 Cincinnati 72,386,544 / 2,784,098 Kansas City 72,267,710 / 2,491,990 Tampa Bay 71,923,471 / 2,663,832 Toronto 62,689,357 / 2,089,645 Washington 61,425,000 / 2,047,500 Cleveland 61,203,967 / 2,110,482 Arizona 60,718,167 / 2,335,314 Florida 55,641,500 / 2,060,796 Texas 55,250,545 / 1,905,191 Oakland 51,654,900 / 1,666,287 San Diego 37,799,300 / 1,453,819 Pittsburgh 34,943,000 / 1,294,185 Any questions? |

Texas 55,250,545 / 1,905,191 We are at almost the bottom and we are rocking it this year. We have a lot of talent and a lot of young guys. I'm sure eventually they will leave us for more money but we just might have a real shot at it this year! |

I hope the Phillies win. All Philly teams are my second favorite since my mom was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love. I have no problem with anyone winning except for New York. Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees suck ass.

Yes, Scola1234 we TRADED him so we could afford Halladay. We didn't throw money at more top notch players to buy a championship, lol! We were sad to see Lee go, but honestly his replacement aint to shabby either. |

Halladay went to Arvada West which is just down the road from me and Brad Lidge went to my school Cherry Creek. |

The players still have to perform and win the games.....They have done all the right things over the years to be able to afford the big salaries and build great teams....Every team in the league would do what they do if they could to build a great club; they just have not built a good enough franchise to turn the big salaries into enough of a profit like the Yankees have.....HATERS!!!!!! Yankees; Yankees; Yankeess!!!!!!!!! You are wrong in that the amount of money they have is the one and only reason they win so many titles. When a big-time player is looking for a new team you always hear that the Yankees are close to setting a deal with that player. Now I will admit that the players still have to play well(I.E Derek Jeter. I may hate NYY, but Jeter is my favorite player in the league), but A-Rod has taken steroids, Clemons has taken steroids, and 3 other players whose names have not been released from the SI report. That kinda gives out an unfair advantage when players worth millions(literally since we're talking about New York) are cheating themselves into wins in a way. Like Tiger I get tired of seeing the same teams win. Yankees, Lakers, Steelers, Patriots, Federer, Red Wings, Red Sox, are all teams or individuals that I hate to see win. |
