I know I am not very good, but yet I will get up before daylight and drive an hour sometimes to play golf. Am I crazy or what? I even get nervous before I play. Why do we do this?

a.exercise
b.fellowship
c.new challenge every round
d.there is nothing like a shot when it all clicks(even just once a round)
e.outdoors
f.all the above

OR JUST CRAZY!!

But I agree mostly for that 1 perfect shot, either lucky or skill it still feels awesome!

For me it started out as a way to exercise my knee after I blew it out. Now that I am hooked on the game it is all of the above.

I like the challenge of the game and the way a perfectly executed shot feels, even if it doesn't happen very often.

Hard to pin point, so i'll go with F. But G is not far off (just crazy). Once you get hooked its hard to stop.

All the above, all the below, and more! There's no game like it, and no group of people to play a game with that are like golfers.

Its the constant challenge...play 1 hole perfectly and the next hole....like you have not held a club in your hand before...It's the search for the "ulitmate shot, round, amazing view, seeing someone do something you have never done before and/or hopefully doing it yourself"

There is no other sport that challenges you mentally and physically at any age or any skill level. I hope I'm one of those guys at 75 out there 185 down the middle 6 days a week...still trying to chase the prize!

For me it's 2 things most of the time, A chance for a hole in one, the other is that chance for it all to come together and play that round of a life time.
