Looking at the scores reported on my Stracka USGA handicap card I noticed that my gross scores were reported. My previous handicap service woud report my ESC adjusted gross scores. Not knowing which is correct, I consulted the USGA web site but could not find the answer. I e-mailed the USGA handicap department and they responded that the ESC adjusted gross scores should be reported on the handicap card.
Can you please correct this as the reporting of the gross scores is causing confusion amongst our club members. |

Thank you for point this out and contacting the USGA. I changed the scores from gross to esc. Your handicap card should be correct now. Let me know if you still have any issues.

I just checked my handicap card and it is still showing gross scores. Do I have to wait until the next revision date for it to be corrected?

I just checked and the ESC scores are showing on your handicap card. You may need to refresh your browser. I think it is caught in your cache. Regards, Brando |

I hate to keep beating this horse, but the last two updates to my handicap card are still showing gross scores and not ESC scores. For example, on my most recent card the second most current score is shown as a 108 (gross) when it should be a 105 (ESC). I doubt that it is a problem with my browser's cache although the 108 was a problem with the driver.

After the last revision, my card is still showing my gross scores and not my ESC adjusted scores as per the USGA.

Your handicap is based on the differential. I don't think it matters much whether your gross score or ESC is on the card. The differential drives the index. And the diffential doesn't change whether you were to post your gross score or the ESC score.
