Started this year with a ballooning index....rose up to 21.9 at one point (began around 20). Was great for my brother's Member / Guest, but not where I wanted it (nor an accurate reflection of my golfing, IMO).

Anyway, been steadily getting back on track through the summer...broke 90 three times, including an 85. Low 90's on a few tough courses helped even more....

My handicap was 20.4 yesterday....today....18.3!!!! gues I am now "officially" a bogey golfer....

My brother is gonna be p*ssed come the Member / Guest next year.....

Well it looks like you're in good company. I did the same today dropping from 20.8 to 19.6. I started the year at 24.3 so I've definitely made some progress.

Mine started 18 months ago at 18.6 and now I can't seem to get into single digits. Just keep playing and the handicap will melt away

Nice job. I know what you've been dealing with. I worked REALLY hard to get under 10 and got down to an 8.8 about this time last year. I then steadily rose all the way up to a 13 a few weeks ago. I seem to have found my groove again and my last 4 scores have been 77, 79, 80 and 82. This should bring me down to about 11.6 and the next revision.

Great work.

congrats on your new handicap and, if you didn't know, to be a bogey golfer for a man is having a handicap between 17.5 and 22.4 and being able to drive 200 yards and reach a 370 yard par 4 in 2. so you already were "officially" a bogey golfer. i, on the other hand was at an 18.2 yesterday and one of my old scores dropped off and i was back up to a 20.7 on the same day i finally broke 90 on my home course, which didn't make it in time for the revision date. now i have to wait 2 more weeks before my handicap comes back down, oh well. i figure if i can post a couple more good scores i should be o.k. for a while.
