I'm not a huge fan reading hundreds of tips, however; I caught one a few days ago on the Golf Channel that really seemed to help me out.

It was an older Champion's Tour player that was talking. I just caught the end of the clip, and don't even remember his name (maybe someone here knows). Anyway, he said his favorite tip to give to amateurs is as follows:

Imagine when you swing that someone is going to take a picture of your finish position. And this big 16x20 picture of your finish is going to hang on your mantle forever (so it better look nice). This helps them to focus on and hold a nice, balanced finish.

I kept this thought on every shot today, and hit the ball better than I have in months- would've been a PB score if not for some bad shots on and around the green. I think this tip really helps you find that nice tempo that most golfers believe is so important.
