I just (last week) ordered that oversized putter grip that K.J. Choi was using sometime back. Apparently since I have gotten back into the game, I have forgotten how to put worth anything. Several times on Monday when we were playing my buddies commented on how I broke my wrists or didnt have the head of the putter square at impact.

Just curious to see if anyone has tried this grip or knew anyone that did and the results they saw. Thanks in adavnce.

I'll post my findings as soon as it comes in and I get chance to practice and play a few rounds with it. Playing 3 rounds this weekend starting Friday so I should have a good "grasp" on it. :~)

Wishing you have a great success with this new putter grip.

Practice is the key to roll the golf ball well on the putting surface, and to build confidence. That is, maybe you don't have a problem with your old putter grip, you just need more time and practice.

BTW, I'm sure your buddies had good intention to give you advice, but nothing is a quick fix. Make sure you picture the intended line of putt and stroke it with distance in mind ( like tossing a soft ball under hand to the intended spot ). The more you do it the better you'll get, the more you sink the putts, the more you'll make.

Thanks dewsweeper. Yeah, I know practice is the key. And I have just gotten back into the game. I have been practicing at least 2 hours a day on putting. Between heading the club on my lunch hour, which I am about to do now. And putting at home at night. Just nothing I do in practice seems to click on the course for some reason.

Was just looking for something "different" with the grip to maybe get a better feel on the putter you know? Try to take more of my hands out the stroke. But I like your idea on the softball pitch to a point. I use that actually now on pitch shots around the greens. Thanks again for the comment back.

Well I finally received my new putter grip and man is that thing big. It was different putting with it the first few strokes. But I can tell you this, it does what it says it is suppose to do. It takes a way getting too wristy or handsy with your putts. It almost forces you to take a nice smooth stroke with your arms and shoulders as one.

I'll try and take some pics of it later and post them up here and see it compared to a regular grip. Started to get the feel of it pretty good last night after about 45 minutes or so of putting. Takes some getting use to visually as well.
