Has anyone tried the Hank Haney swing bands? Also, what is a training aid you have used that you liked? I have the Matzie swing assist, and I like it for its grip and to loosen up before a round. I was looking for ideas that could be used hitting into a net, or like someone mentioned, the Optishot simulator, that you could actually simulate a round. Just wondering what others like and use.

I have a simular band that is at least 50 years old. I use that and a basketball between my knees.

I like a video camera, you can swing and then go look at it immediately see what you just did then do it all over again.

I've used the Medicus Driver, 5 iron and putting device (not the new thing), it goes around the grip. A chipping net is fun for short game practice in the backyard too.
I liked the driver and the 5 iron the most. Instant feedback. I do also agree with David with the video camera. I use a small camcorder when I take my lessons. I've looked into the swing harnesses like the V-harness its a little pricy but a friend of mine is thinking about getting it anyway. Heard that they worked real well. |

I will check it out. I have never seriously used the medicus, just picked one up in a golf shop. Thanks for the info. |

I guess the only thing i use that is somewhat of a training aid is the almost golf practice balls. i drop a bunch of them in the yard then see if i can hit high shots over a bush or low runners under tree limbs.

I just got a Momentus weighted 60 degree, which I really like a lot so far. The snow and ice has delayed UPS around here but my Momentus weighted 7 iron is in the mail. Can't wait. I plan on using them for 10-20 swings each, every day this spring/summer.
