Well do ya?
I've played this one nine hole course 4 times in the last 2 weeks; every time before work (6:40 tee time). Granted, it's early and i'm sore in the morning, and it takes a while to get the blood flowing, but I just can't seem to do well on it. It's fairly short - 2400 yards, par 33, but yet my scores have all been in something like the 49-51 range. My handicap went up by almost 3 full strokes since I started playing it. The course isn't too wide open, and has some interesting holes (a high lip bunker right in front of a green on a par 3), and has a good amount of dog legs. But I just can't seem to work around it. I slice the ball quite a bit out there, hit it fat, 3 putt, miss 2 foot putts, etc. I'm fairly certain that the early tee time has some effect on it, but even at my skill level I feel like I should score much much better than i do there. Do any of you have a course you just can't seem to do well on? Or maybe a specific hole on your favorite course? |

Yep I sure do. It is Kiskiack in Williamsburg Va. Everytime I play it I cannot hit the ball to save my life, the worst part of it is that it is a relatively easy course there are now carries and the fairways are huge and even if you slice it bad you will be in the other fairway and able to play a shot. but for some reason I never can shoot well there. My wife says it is because I am not concentrating like I do on the harder courses and I think that she may be right. anyway i have swarn it off for now I am supposed to play it next wednesday so we will see.

Hole number 1 at the Challenger, my home course. It's the only one I've never parred. And it doesn't matter if I'm starting the round from hole number 1 or 10. It just resists me and I'm not entirely sure why. It has water on the left, but that's usually not an issue. It's a long par 4, but not the longest. The green is pretty undulated, but so are the others... Dunno. I'll try again next year :)

Yes, It's a par 3 170 yards little up hill, most of the time into the wind. Don't miss long. I hate this hole. I make par about 10% of the time.

This would be hole number 7 one of my home courses I unaffectionately call the Z hole. This one is Renwood. 497y from white 514 from blues. 170yards, then 80' left another 170 yard and then again another 60' to the right over a creek. You can see below.
