After a near month of deliberation I have broke down and replaced my entire set with new Callaways. I was posting on here about how much I loved the Taylormade but I changed my mind lol. Just got my new Razr X forged irons in this week, then today after playing and hitting at the range I went down to Golf Galaxy to hit the new Callaway driver and fairway woods, liked them and went ahead and bought them, and placed an order for new wedges. Now at least I have a uniform set that was custom fit for me. Not really boasting or complaining I just like to share my experiences with others.

I just joined their email list and I've been getting emails about a Razr fitting special tomorrow. I'm gonna pass on it because it was only 2 weeks ago that I went and did one of their "driver fittings" for $30. I hit 4 different drivers including the Razr and my net difference was less than 5 yards over my current driver. The employee who helped me was honest enough to suggest that I save my money for that small of a difference. Obviously, I'm a Golf Galaxy fan.

Did you get the Razr Fit Driver? That club has a really Hot face. Whats just as hot is their New ball that hasn't been released yet. WE had a Demo Day with the Tour Van in FM this week and the rep was passing out the New ball. Only the Tour Pro's have access to it right now. Have fun with them, is a great set~

I got a sleeve of the new Callaway Chrome balls two weeks ago and didn't really like them. They get marked up too easily and spin way too much. I can play a ProV1X for multiple rounds and it still will not look as bad as the Chrome did after 3 holes. I also hit them about half a club shorter than the ProV1X.

Yes, I bought the razr fit driver and 3 wood. I'm not sure about other stores but at GG if you buy the driver you get 6 of the new balls in the plastic wrap with the headcover and wrench. If you are one of the first 12 to get fitted for the driver or fairway wood then you get a dozen balls. Yes, I know the fitting is $30, but you get 18 balls that don't come out for 2 weeks for $30 when they are going to cost $46 plus tax when they are available to the public.

That's the great thing about their store, it seems like they don't pressure you into buying new stuff. They want you to play what works for your game.

Yeah, they seem rather soft for a tour ball. But I'm interested to try them out since I got a bunch for free, I have played a ProV1X since I was in middle school and haven't switched yet. I'll post again after I test them out though, I mean yeah I doubt I like them but each company makes a ball that usually conforms better to their clubs. The great thing about the ProV1X is that it really hasn't changed much, TM, CAL, BS, etc change the model so often you can't keep up. Yeah the prov has received some facelifts but it's really the same ball.

Having a set of golf clubs fitted to you is like a craftsman having all his tools for the job at hnads.
You will love it until it's time to fine tune the fitting again.
I know you'll have more fun on the golf course now.

How much did they set you back, if I may ask?

Thank god I live a hour and a half from any golf store or my ass would be broke all the time. I know you can order off the internet but its not the same when you are at the store holding the new driver in your hand while some sales person is stroking your ego and eye of the tiger is playing in the back ground form the store speakers. Maybe thats just me that has that happen too..LMAO
