So I in Europe visiting friends and am playing golf. I want to post some scores but the courses have no slope and rating. I can't post here to keep track of my rounds.

Is it not possible to post or what should I do?

Google ;)

I think this is your answer :

If no Ratings are available, or if there is not a golf association authorized by the USGA in the area, then this score is not acceptable for handicap purposes.

Google doesn't help stimulate dialogue and conversation. That doesn't really help. I want to post the score as a record I played the course, not necessarily for handicap purposes. Oh well. No big loss.

Ya, I understand. The correct answer is you probably can't post it, but I do understand wanting to post the score for record of having played the course. I get frustrated when I have to quit early and don't finish enough to post rounds myself. There is a 9 hole course that is good and cheap that I enjoy playing with friends and it's not Slope/Rated so I can't / don't post rounds from that course. I don't play it enough to matter, but it kinda sucks cause I've had some good long drives and birdies there that I'd like to remember.

Absolutely. How to retain records of the courses you have played? I’m finding checking in on the Facebook really doesn’t do what I want.

Lot of paper to retain and it gets ruined over time. Besides I have space constraints. Digital works best.

Take picture of the scorecard. Post the pic.

Turns out there is a process.

Email US Handicap about the course, take a picture of the official slope and rating when you play at the course, email the documentation to them. They update and now it can be official.
