Best Ball of Four Stroke Play - Tournament Rules
Play
Each team consists of 4 players. It is the responsibility of each team to be honest in counting of their strokes. You must play each hole. Each set of teams will start on a different hole. All Play is from the BLUE Tees for men and RED Tees for women. GPS and/or Pin Seekers are USGA compliant and legal for play.

Scoring
Each player must play his/her own ball the entire hole and then all players will record their individual score.  At the end of the round you will determine whose score will be used for each hole for the best possible score and apply the appropriate handicap strokes.
Each team must record at least 3 holes from each team member.

Players' Responsibilities
You are responsible for counting your strokes on each hole during a round, including penalty strokes. After each hole, the person designated to maintain the scorecard marks each player's score for that hole. Do NOT apply handicap strokes until the end of the round when posting Team Net Scores.

Relief Situations and Procedures
Winter rules apply for all league play. This means balls may be rotated a total of 6” in the fairway but must be played down in the rough. All putts must be putted out.

To speed play, shots hit OB will count as stroke only and should be dropped one club length at the nearest point of entry OB. To also speed play, players should pick up after a maximum of ten (10) strokes on any hole and record a 10.

If your ball is lost in a water hazard, you are penalized one stroke. Your options include playing a ball from where the original ball was played or dropping a ball behind the water hazard along the line in which the ball entered the hazard.

Each player is to play “ready golf”. This means that they are to play their ball, regardless of position on the course to speed along play. If three players have reached the green and one person has blasted out of a trap over the green, players should putt “up” to maximize time use and to speed play along.
