7/31/2009 10:43:00 PM I used this site to get info for my trip last year. http://www.mbga.com/index.htm We played a bunch of the mid range courses. The course that we all enjoyed the most was Heather Glen. Good price, good people, and good course.ood people, and good course. |

7/31/2009 8:34:42 AM You don't have to pay $200/round or even $100/round to enjoy good golf at MB. As suggested, go to mbgolf.com or take HoleyMoley up on his offer. |

7/30/2009 3:19:09 PM My 10th year in Myrtle this October, play 36 a day for 3 days and never played the same track twice. Here's my top 5 1) Grand Dunes 2) Kings North 3) Man O War 4) Thistle 5t) Legends - Moorland 5t) The Pearl Tiger's Eye and Meadowlands are also nice tracks, as it Sea Trail. Havent played True Blue or Tidewater, but playing both this year and they are supopsed to be great. My advice, book through mbgolf.com - they have VERY good ad affordable packages for a beachfront condo in N. Myrtle plus golf 5t) The Pearl Tiger's Eye and Meadowlands are also nice tracks, as it Sea Trail. Havent played True Blue or Tidewater, but playing both this year and they are supopsed to be great. 7/30/2009 8:19:38 AM Long Bay Club, Willbrook Plantation, Kings North. All great courses. I have played both Long Bay and Willbrook and they are great. Willbrook is a beautiful course. Long Bay has a lot of bunkers! |

7/29/2009 1:41:11 PM We loved Long Bay Club! This course hands down made the trip worth it. "It is a challenge", but why go down to Myrtle and play lesser courses. Packaged with two other courses it was priced very reasonably. See the picture of #10 and if that doesn't excite you look at the island #13. Note: we stayed at Barefoot landings (Condo on one of the fairways), the courses were over rated, crowded and we saw 'fivesomes' and the staff was snooty. I also liked Aberdine, it was part of the package (although the cool part was the gator lying next to one of my drives:-) ) Have fun!onably. 7/29/2009 9:16:37 AM "Myrtle Beach Golf" could mean anything. There can be as much as an hour drive time from the southern tip near Pawley's to Brunswick County NC (Calabash, Sunset Beach) I've lived down here for 15 years and all of those places and in-between are refered to as Myrtle Beach...it's strange. Post where you're staying and what your per round budget is and I'll be glad to offer suggestions. If you haven't figured out exactly where you're staying - that's cool too....just send the budget. Tons of golf packages down here.rs and all of those places and in-between are refered to as Myrtle Beach...it's strange. 7/28/2009 6:55:44 PM If you book through Legends , the prices for lodging , breakfast , golf and cart won't run as much as some of the people commenting have said golf alone will cost . |

7/28/2009 6:51:45 PM I have been going to MB for the last 4 years in March with a group . We have always used the Golf digest " Best Places to Play " book to guide us . Also use the Myrtle Beach golf association web site [MBGA.com} for unbiased reviews of the current state of all courses . We like the Legends courses Moorland , Heathland , Oyster Bay , Heritage , and TPC . Pawley's Plantation , True Blue , and Calidonia are some of the most beautiful places I've ever golfed . Myrtle Beach National , King's North Kills me every time , but I love it . The 18th of this Arnold Palmer designed course has more sand traps than most courses do . 7/27/2009 10:21:12 PM I love the courses on Pauley's Island, The Heritage (beautiful, challenging, and they treat you great), Caledonia (Southern Golf at its finest, again, beautiful, a great layout, and fun to play), True Blue (another terrific course, not quite as beautiful as the first two, but well worth playing). Get a good package and you can keep the greens fees reasonable. Blue (another terrific course, not quite as beautiful as the first two, but well worth playing). 7/27/2009 8:56:39 PM Arrowhead is nice, Barefoot Resort - Fazio, Dye, Norman and Love courses are nice, The Dunes, The Legends - Moorland is a challenging course. Look into package deals at that time you'd be very suprised of the deals you can get for some great courses. My favorite 19th Hole is "Masters" for extreme nightlife (don't take the misses) and Broadway on the Beach has some good places to eat, drink and entertain.
