Ed and I are are starting to think about the format for the next tournament(s). Suggestions so far include an individual strokeplay "club championship" and a Dallas vs. Fort Worth matchplay team challenge.  Opinions welcomed!

First of all I liked the format this weekend because as far as I know USGA rules applied. No improving lies, not waiving the stroke and distance penalty for lost or OB balls, etc. To keep an official USGA handicap you must play by the rules. I think it would be cool though to have individual net score prizes, maybe by flight, as well as team prizes. One prize I could do without is the longest drive...that says nothing about a golfer's overall ability. Anyone has a chance on the straightest drive or closest to the pin, but not the longest drive...I hate donating my money toward something I have no chance at...l USGA handicap you must play by the rules. Not sure how matchplay teams would work. How do you pick the teams? An individual stroke play event flighted by handicaps with both individual flight champs and one overall low stroke champ would be a good idea too. I would do either one for sure. a good idea too. I would do either one for sure.
