Because he went out and played even though his foot hurt and the weather was unbelievably nasty (pouring rain, wind and freezing temperatures). Now that's one tough rookie!!

First tournament played, he totally takes it on the chin. Comes rolling in with the lowest index in the league at 1.8 only to go out and a +14 net. Its rough being the rookie. Only guys lower on the standings were the WD (ie the guys who didn't play). Get what I'm say'n here?

9 degree golf? Right there is a REAL golfer ya'll! Trust me, that 88 he shot probably would have been a 75 in 90 degrees. Great score & Great dedication - somebody get this guy some bacon on the double!!!

Is there really any other choice??? He shot an 86 on a course with a slope of 145. I'm a 1.9 HCP and I'd call that a good round. Awesome job Pete5!!!

Pete played a LONG course (6711 yds)witha 145 slope and was the only player I saw that had no 3 putts. Very impressive. Great round Pete!!!!

Hi All. Unfortunately I will be unable to post a score for this event due to inclement weather during my round today. Had to stop after the 13th because of a thunder and lightening storm. Quite spectacular actually. Got to the clubhouse and they had the weather report on. 3 to 4 more storms were on the way so we decided to pack it in. Should have stayed close to home. It was bright and sunny once I got got back to Miami Beach. Oh well. I'll be getting ready for the next tourney.ctacular actually. I'm beginning to see a pattern of "bad behavior" in our rounds...hummm...something fishy here. Seems everyone is falling to pieces. I'm beginning to suspect Sylla slipped us all something while we were piled up at her house. If so, even her own countrymen aren't safe, Dandy being proof of that. The wind was howling and the course was saturated. So I'm not ashamed to post an 88, net 86. Still, I turned a corner. I didn't get upset once. I had a great time while not playing all that great for the first time in a long time!
