On the course there are some shots that make my blood boil. So in order of level of irritation, here are the shots that make me angriest:
#1 Skulling a short pitch or chip shot. Nothing makes me madder than hitting a thin shot and sending the ball screaming across the green and off the other side.
#2 Duffing a short pitch. You need to pitch up onto the green from, oh, say 15-20 feet away and you chunk the ball up and drop it about five feet from where you started.
#3 Three putting. Nothing more to be said here.
I have more but these are my big three. How about you?

Barely missing the green on approach; then chunking your first chip (still off green) then blading/over-hitting second chip way past pin. You take a rip and BLAMO!!! Snap hook. Then you say to yourself, "Hello Self?......yeah?......What kind of an asshole lines everything up to hit a power fade and hits a hook. I mean WTF??.....uh - you?" And then you figure out that you're talking to yourself and really you're the asshole that hit the double cross. 4/28/2009 10:34:41 PM 3 putting definitely tops the list, but I think the overall theme to my second biggest personal achillies heel is following up a good or great shot with an absolutely horrible one. It takes away that glimmmer of hope for an eagle or birdie and turns it into a fight to not card a snowman...
