To give you a little backround of my golf career, I started playing around 12 years old when I would go golfing with my dad and grandpa when I had days off of school. I loved the game, however I was a baseball player and wound up going to college to play baseball so I was never into practicing to get better. In my fourth year of college I snapped my ankle for a third time and my doctor would no longer pass me on an athletic scholarship. So at 22 I then started playing golf on a regular basis and went to the range to try and tweak my swing. As far as equipment I started with custom made clubs ( in other words irons and woods that were knock offs and were put together in a garage by a guy who lived by our grandparents) and then got handed down Titleist DCI 962 which are good irons but are on their 6th year in my bag, which previously were in my dad's bag for 3 years and he bought them used. So if you are still reading this after that long story, I AM FINALLY GETTING BRAND NEW IRONS!!!! For a christmas present I am going to get "fitted" for irons!! Below I listed the irons I plan on hitting at the range when I go to get fitted. If you have played any of these irons or have any comments regarding these irons please give me your input. Also I have listed how far I hit each iron to give you an idea of my distance. I am looking to lower my ball flight as I tend to hit the ball sky high and have no problem getting the ball in the air, also I am looking for a tour like iron that is going to give me a good amount of feedback and feel.
