As most of you have noticed, our last 3 - 4 rounds have been a little on the chilly side.  We don't have harsh winters here in Southeast Virginia compared to most areas north of here.  I know a lot of you have already put the clubs up for the season (sorry!)  I have to say it though, sweater, wind breaker, long coat, gloves, hat and all, this has been the best time for golf that we've had!  We had a group go off before us today and when they left the 1st green, that was the last time we saw anyone for the entire day.  Friday, there were only 2 tee times ahead of us and we never saw them all day.  It is so relaxing to be able to play without waiting on someone or to have someone pushing you from behind making you feel rushed and nervous.  We are playing Wednesday with our boys and there is a twosome 40 minutes after us and and foursome about 70 minutes after us and that is it for the day.  It should be in the low (very low) 50's and sunny with low winds so it will be an outstanding day for family golf.  You can try new shots to see if you can make that carry you always thought you could but didn't want to hold up the people behind you or try your putt over a few times from the same spot to see if you can get the read that you thought you had just right.  It has been a fantastic week (4 rounds) of golf and we have 4 more rounds through next Sunday that should be the best ever!  Spending quiet time on a "private" course with someone you love or good friends is amazing. Winter (mild winter) golf rocks!! If you can get out there, do it!
