Driver change.

Ok everyone knows that I snapped my driver the other day on the driving range and that the club is sending it back to Ping to get it replaced for me. They are letting me borrow a Calloway Hyper X until it comes back which is great. I have shot two rounds with it and i like the way it hits. Anyway today I went to the driving range and was hitting some balls (NO Duck Hunter I did not break another one) and my wife stacey went to the club house to see if they had a G10 that i could try out just for the fun of it. Well they didn't but she brought me the new Taylormade. Burner. HOLLY SH&^%@(^&T. that thing is a monster. I was takeing the ball about 35-40 yards longer and straighter then I ever have taken my G5. I hit about 20 balls with it and everyone of them were crushed and the funny thing about it is that it was with minimal effort. I was just using my normal swing and it was sailing. I think that I may have to switch the drivers out. I am playing tomorrow and I am going to borrow a Burner to play with to put it to the test on the course. If I like it I am going to buy it. It is just that good. Has anyone else switched to this thing. If not you should give it a try..

	HB808 11/13/2008 8:42:07 PM Just make sure you hit the G10 before buying the Burner. I traded my Burner in for the G10 and I'm soooo glad I did.

	ed2flowers 11/13/2008 7:07:32 PM I just changed from a 10.5 to a 9.5 Burner. The 10.5 was giving me a high launch. I'm now drilling the ball down the middle for an extra 20 yards or so. 	Deckmustang 11/13/2008 6:36:10 PM I went to golf galaxy tonight and hit the burner again and the G10 Both are great glubs but the burner edged it out on distance and control.

I bought it in spite of the increased cost of $100. However, they were both the 2008 models. I haven't tried the 2009 model. I think a driver you hit well gives you confidence and if you have confidence in a club then, well, you're gonna hit it well. I'm afraid to try a new one though for fear of liking it!008 models. He sold it to me for $100.
