11/10/2008 4:19:30 PM Great playing Superman17. I have actually experienced what you just wrote this year. I used to shoot in the high 80s low 90s until I changed my swing early this year. I actually started by changing my grip which I believe allowed me to change my swing. I know what you are referring to about controlling the "old" fade. I had the same problem, especially in the wind. Changing my grip/swing has also allowed me to play low/high draws and power fades. These sot options have also helped me score better. My short game, in the past has been my saving grace. I would have to get up and down to save par or even bogey. Now, it seem like I am using my wedge mostly for approach shots from the fairway. As a result my short game (chipping around the green) stats are suffering. Mostly because I do not practice on that aspect as much as I used to. To answer your question... a fluke is something that happens once in a while. Consistency is what you just accomplished. 3 straight rounds in the 70s. GREAT JOB! Have you noticed an increase in distance? I did. I actually am 2 clubs stronger due to the change. |
