10/24/2008 7:48:32 AM I think you guys are missing the major point which makes the great players truly great. Talent, ability, and equipment can only do so much. These guys are all world class competitors. I think if they were all on the same stage, you'd see some truly remarkable golf. They'd push eachother tremendously. I still think Tiger would be #1, simply because he's got a real killer instinct. He was raised to be better than anyone he'll ever see. The difference would be, #2, #3, #4, etc. would be much closer to #1. Right now, there's Tiger; and then there's everyone else. Someone on the Golf Channel I think put it best. Jack had Arnold, Gary, and some others pushing him; Tiger really isn't getting pushed. If Phil, Vijay, Sergio, AK could really push him, I think you'd see Tiger move up to a whole new stratosphere. Make no mistake about; we are witnessing a 1 in a million athlete. Enjoy it! |

10/23/2008 9:36:03 PM I have wondered about this...but I've also wondered about 50 years from now when people say, "I wonder how good Tiger Woods could have been with today's technology." |
