So I played with two buddies the other day. We're all fairly high handicappers but we play at a reasonable pace, not looking for lost balls on every hole and not four putting etc etc. Following us was a group of four OLD ladies. Every time I looked back they were approaching us. When I watched them hit at various times throughout the round, never did I see one hit the ball more than about 100 yards if that long. Yet everytime I looked back they were right behind us, sometimes even waiting for us to move on....humm....So I mention to my partners this observation and one of them mentions that you'd think we'd lose them as they stopped to look for their lost balls. I responded that I hate to tell you this but I haven't even seen one of those ladies hitting off the fairway from the rough, much less looking for lost balls. I concluded, "which goes to show, accuracy beats distance everytime."  It was amazing to me that they were playing the round as quickly as us without ever advancing the ball more than 100 yds. You know, we could learn something from this!  Any similar observation?.
