     We were blessed again!  Our fellowship through golf is priceless.  Before we headed out; we prayed.  There is always reason to give thanks.  And we do that!  Willie Broadnax was the guiding voice getting us on one accord.  We had you covered even if you were not on the scene.  Let's keep the faith in God.

     Shout Outs....Lee Benson was a first-timer playing in our group.  We hope you had a good time and hope that you will tee it up with us as frequently as your schedule allows.  And we gave Rich Burlingame our reinitiated Birdie Seeker style welcome. It was good to have Bobby Guthrie, Alonzo "Flu" Fluellen, and Morris Coleman in the lineup at Randolph Oaks.

     We played our regular  Birdie Seekers' format, which is multiple Flighted Average Stroke Low Net (ASLN), Blind Draw, multiple Skins, and Closest-to-Pin (CTP) games.

The entire field is always automatically in the CTP; no entry fee is required for the CTP competition.  The Skins quorum was two Skins per hole this week.  You can read more about us and our format and tournament rules by clicking on the "Format & Tournament" link located top/left of this page.


         The field of 40 golfers choose to compete as follows: 37 golfers were enrolled in the ASLN (net) competition, 37 golfers entered the Skins game, and 36 golfers were declared eligible for the Blind Draw competition.  There was no calcutta action taken this week.  As a field we posted 1 eagle, 30 birdies and 188 pars.  Congratulations to Rick Burlingame; he posted the eagle on hole #18.  The Skins D.O.A. report was as follows.

     Congratulations to  each of  our competition  prize winners in each leaderboard category!  See the individual results on the leader-board and Blind Draw table  on this page. ASLN prizes  were awarded to the 1st thru 4th placed golfers in the A, B, and C flight.  The Blind Draw quorum allowed prizes for the 1st thur 4th placed teams composed of 4 golfers; "C" was the combination drawn this week at the point of validation. 
 
Contact/submit your info to obtain a 6 month pass to drive on the base; or renew your 6 month pass if the expiration date will be an issue for 13 Feb.  You will also need this for next month too.  We will play Gateway Hills at Lackland AFB. Here is the contact info for that:  Golfers--great news! Randolph Oaks Golf Course is now open to the public. Please call 652-4653 and ask for Mr. Kenneth Boyce for base access requirements. Interested golfers may also email Mr Boyce directly at kenneth.Boyce@us.af.mil
