Another Wednesday of good fellowship at Brack gave way for another time to give praise to God. Yep, we did that again in the prayer circle. Don't worry if you missed it; or if you were not even at the course. You were covered. Mike Taylor led us in prayer that was comprehensively delivered. Our "IR" (injured reserve) folks and family members were up lifted in prayer. The prayer was sealed with a united, Amen.
Shout Outs... Thanks to everyone for your participation! The Birdie Seekers aim to foster a fantastic fellowship through golf. You make it happen; please continue. Our venues are open to all golfers; just send an email or text message to RSVP. Include your full name, venue, your pace of play and your game entry preference in the message. We do not have membership dues or player fees. Golfers may elect to enter some, none, or all competitions. Our core values include, but are not limited too the following:
CPO is defined as "cart path only" as it relates to golf. That was the course condition even though it had not rained. The course condition of CPO resulted in more walkers this week. We played our regular Birdie Seekers' format, which is multiple Flighted Average Stroke Low Net (ASLN), Blind Draw, multiple Skins, and Closest-to-Pin (CTP) games. The entire field is always automatically in the CTP; no entry fee is required for the CTP competition. The Skins quorum was two Skins per hole this week. You can read more about us and our format and tournament rules by clicking on the "Format & Tournament" link located top/left of this page.
The field of 40 golfers choose to compete as follows: 38 golfers were enrolled in the ASLN (net) competition, 37 golfers entered the Skins game, and 38 golfers were declared eligible for the Blind Draw competition. There was finally some calcutta action taken this week because Bobby Ingram was back in town. Randy and Mo took the calcutta action on Bobby's Net and Blind Draw. As a field we posted 40 birdies and 268 pars at Ole Brackenridge Golf Course. The Skins D.O.A. report was rich this week. There were 30 birdies D.O.A.
Congratulations to each of our competition prize winners in each leaderboard category! See the individual results on the leader-board and Blind Draw table on this page. ASLN prizes were awarded to the 1st thru 4th placed golfers in the A, B, and C flight. The Blind Draw quorum allowed prizes for the 1st thur 4th placed teams composed of 4 golfers; "A" was the combination drawn this week at the point of validation. |
